Get your fortune told in Cusco, Peru. I thought this was the cutest thing when we visited Cusco, Peru.
As I walked from Plaza de Armas (the main plaza with a weekly parade on Sunday) to Plaza San Francisco on my way to the market there was this little – wait a minute… is that gold paint? – man standing on a box, standing perfectly still.
Folks kept walking by, some glancing curiously over at what resembled a shiny, gold, hobbit like I was until someone went up to the breathing statue and put a sol (about 30 cents) in the box set at his feet.
Tada! The little gold man came to life and reached into his purse to pull out a little piece of white paper with words of wisdom printed on it.
That, my dear readers, is how you get your fortune read on the streets of Cusco, Peru 🙂 To see it in action, watch this short video.
Cusco is a fun city, we spent two months here and had so much fun hanging out with the local musicians and venturing around, neither the awesome teen or I ever went to Macchu Pichu! Saving a trip to the famous Inca ruins for next time.
